Your October 1945 cover features my mother, Mary Helen Pohlman, illustrated by Bradshaw Crandall, a famous commercial artist of the day. Hard to believe it was 70 years ago. She left New York City afew years later and came back to her hometown of Napoleon, Ohio to raise her family. We grew up with the original on the wall, imagining what it must have been like back then.
